They Say ‘KNOWLEDGE is Power’.  Without power you could say that we can not do anything. The more one knows and learns the better prepared they can be to tackle the problems that inevitably faces us all.  Remember learning requires a person to take an active role in his or her own development.  As you read and discover this new knowledge, your power to engage on the subjects that matter to you.

Veterans have always been resourceful when it comes to finding information.  Remember back when you first joined the service and all the information you needed to learn in order to carry out your job? This new phase in life is also such a challenge. It requires you to seek out and learn as much as you can about information that is ever-changing.  Be cautious.  Unfortunately we live in a world where there are many people out there looking to try and take advantage of veterans.  Just as the training on Active Duty said, we must exercise proper internet security.

As you take a look around the internet you will see thousands of sites that claim to offer for veteran. How many of them give you real information?  Many of them just list website after website and expect the user to know where they are supposed to be going.  This would work if we already knew what we needed.  As with any service, some have catches others require subscription fees only to give you information that you already had.  I have provided on my resources page a list of hyper-links within categories to break down different information sites for veterans and their families.

You will find different articles on this site that discuss more than just a website covered in legalese.   Here you will be able to weigh-in on the discussion providing other veterans insight to problems and solutions that you and others have faced.   This unique source will allow you the veteran the ability to find topics that concern you, talk to you on a one-to-one basis, and not bury the information in obscure text thousands of pages in a legal document.

I am looking at keeping it simple and as veterans send links to me for local and national sites, I will add a breakdown by the resources.  By no means do I, or anyone else have the one article that will give you the ultimate knowledge or where to find that book.  However, what College Signatures can do is give the ability to begin the learning process and share links that others and we have found useful.  We have categories dealing with education registration, college life, personal balance, transition information, VA programs and resume assistance just to name a few. Below is a quick example of some of the websites resources you will find on our resource page:
